AccuGENE™TAE (Tris-Acetate-EDTA) buffer is made from Tris, EDTA and Acetic acid. It is often used in procedures involving nucleic acids, the most common being electrophoresis. TAE has a lower buffer capacity than TBE and can easily become exhausted, but linear, double stranded DNA runs faster in TAE.. AccuGENE™ Electrophoresis Buffers are formulated to match Lonza's Reliant™, Latitude™,and PAGEr™ Precast Gels, Long Ranger™ Gel Solution sequencing products, and the MDE™ Gel Solution product line. AccuGENE™ Buffers for DNA, RNA, and protein electrophoresis are prepared with high quality reagents and use 18 megOhm water. Products are filtered using a 0.45-micron filter.
